This episode was recorded live at the Brilliant Baltimore Festival on 11/3/2019.  Please forgive the sound quality as the recording conditions were not ideal. Edited by my son. Enjoy the raw conversation about cosplay, business, and family life.

This episode features Demetrius Holt of Hellspawned Cosplay.

Hellspawned Cosplay has been active in the community since 2017 and he’s portrayed a number of characters that were personal to him. From Kratos to Sub-Zero to He-Man…. he’s never really embodied characters that were of the “bandwagon” sort. Only those he has a deep passion for. He’s best known as the “Afro He-Man”.

Hellspawned has been to the most recent San Diego Comic Con as press, and interviewed actors, actresses and composers on behalf of JVS YouTube channel. He’s a brand ambassador for Black Heroes Matter clothing and Figure This in 3D while also being represented by Invictus Modeling, LLC.

Meanwhile, he’s trying his hand at acting these days to see if it’s a viable option for him financially since he recently became a father to gorgeous and strong little boy named Kaua’i. There’s a short film that Hellspawned has been working on based in Baltimore that is being submitted for consideration at Sundance and other film festivals and he’s become a member of the “Lost Cos” TV show that is a scripted narrative centered around cosplay filmed in Manhattan.

Featured in 4 cosplay magazines in 2019….two of which he made the cover for….the February issue of Cosplazine and the November issue of Cosplay Alliance Magazine. Hellspawned Cosplay has been learning the various paths of the craft but it’s been slow going. Sewing, foam-smithing…all of it is something that he’s interested in becoming proficient in.

His cosplay mission beyond having an outlet for creativity is to push for the proliferation of minorities within mainstream media. He’s been making some pretty sizable strides in that arena seeing as how his He-Man cosplay went viral enough for the writers of the DC Comics mini-series “He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse” are considering using his image within the final issue due out in April 2020 and to be THE featured He-Man cosplayer at this year’s Power-Con… the He-Man and She-Ra convention held in Anaheim, California.

way. Welcome to Fabulous factory. I'm your host. Fairness. Pre fabulous factory is yours to fist Erratic destination for discussion on wellness, dating, family and Blair life. Come with me while we discuss emerging fabulously in spite of life's factory. It's your girl, Baron Esprit. Thank you for joining us. We're doing a live taping of the fabulous last test here at Brilliant Baltimore. My guest tonight is Mr Dmitry Asshole. He's a cause player, bodybuilder and model, right?
spk_0:
00:48
No, but I don't think about
spk_1:
00:51
it straight. Mark, You costly everything. However you are best known for being f really made. Yes. Thank you for joining us.
spk_0:
01:08
Oh, okay. Yeah. You know, the list that you sent me is the topic was like, Okay, that's Oh, yeah. Um well, essentially I got in the consulate because I needed a different hobby to do because I got divorced and body building with something me and my ex wife did together. And that was something I didn't want to do any more alone. So I I always wanted to go to a convention within, you know, within cosplay. And I didn't know it was a community. I didn't know it was a thing. I just like what? I think people dress up in costume was something I could do That too. And the first concert I did was create owes from Got a war on. And apparently that was a big deal, because I went the full nine, as opposed to just like a real customer. You know?
spk_1:
02:00
You remember we got babies. Okay, wait, I'm editing for audience.
spk_0:
02:15
Yeah, So that's how I got into it. And then a friend of mine referred me toe I got reached out to by someone who wanted me to do a Mortal Kombat Kahn's play with her and start a small group within the D. M v community. And, you know, that's when I came up with zero. And from there we we created the d M v combatants. And that's a group of well, over 115
spk_1:
02:45
Higher. Like crazy.
spk_0:
02:53
Yeah, the drawings doesn't last too long way have to use other methods. Come up with a vaping machine that you distract your arm stuff like that. But I think the community is really welcoming when it comes to the Mortal Kombat side. And then, um, I let my friend and some other folks just really handled that. And I started doing more characters that really appealed to me and something that I've always wanted to do and Baltimore comic con 2018. It was when I debuted that one of the he man because I grew up watching the man, you know? So that was my thing, and I didn't realize it was going to take off the way that it did.
spk_1:
03:38
So it was my fault place. Very. It came from me out of divorce. I have two kids and my oldest maybe gateau from your door Got me. I don't know what this Waas he picked out for me, but he said Okay, this is what we do know. So his 16th birthday was the first ogre and he was like Mom less costly of the family. Let's do this. So we just started called play. We did Bentley cause place said that one night made all the dragon balls costume and it was like I wouldn't make it cheaper and faster, but it was something to do with family. But
spk_0:
04:16
were you always into like into the animal
spk_1:
04:19
was always anime person always love started. Oh, all the girls, you know? Listen, listen, I have to be photographed like that was the best thing I ever make it into ESPN undefeated. Make it two. It was like, what, This passing from Amazon from Alibaba. Rest stop making way. So that game, like you Skittles, is here. And, you know, like you all set the game of God leave late, Instagramming ourselves, making stuff at home and
spk_0:
04:58
that Okay, so I am very aware that people have a certain type of perception of me, and so because I have it of of other folks. But then I don't I don't single out people until I see something. And I'm just the type of person where I like to do things that are common book accurate or that our screen accurate or whatever. But that's me,
spk_1:
05:21
you know, you
spk_0:
05:22
know, or get a commission. And if I if I happen to notice it, then you know it's someone asking my paying out. But I'll say mine my piece. But the community is really funny about what you're allowed to say. What? You're not what you can say, you know? So I'm learning that some things don't need to be said but the same time I'm going to be me, You know as much as possible. In any
spk_1:
05:52
case, this is your space. This is you. So we have to be authentic to ourselves regardless what people think about it. Unless I'm causing bodily or mental
spk_0:
06:06
swear. I mean, that is a you know, I guess when I come from a different error, I I'm 35 and everyone else that is like offended comes from them. They were under 30 under 28 years old. It's riel. But it's also a very perceived thing amongst a small group of people who think that they're doing more than what they actually are. You know, because I recently had an issue where a small group of people really have an issue with me, and we're trying to be as vocal about it as possible. But what was happening in the midst of it? I mean, I'm I'm in a mist of filming a movie. A short film. I've got a part in the ABC pilot. Thank you. But I was a Navy pilot is something that could be taken away or whatever. You know how things go with such right, But all these things are happening in real life, like I have a nine week old boy. You know all these things, having a real life while online. It's chaos, about three lines of criticism about why I would not join a certain type of cosplay group. And it's just there's so much. There's so much iron for people not being exactly the same as everyone else. It's it's ridiculous. You know, I'm not trying to be politically correct or anything like that, just being me. Then you don't like it, so all right,
spk_1:
07:38
it's okay. It's hard. So navigating it online face is that you have to create your own safe spaces. And unfortunately, sometimes we have to pick up that thing better in my safe space. Then that's my safe space. I say what I want. Hold on, paid me what I want for as long as my sponsors don't have a problem with what I'm saying, right, right, so it's just like you have to pick the avenues. The cosplay community is already ultra sensitive because we don't feel as though it's inclusive enough and you know, so we already got the diversity issues, you know. So this is like you got all these African American blurred routes. Now everybody learned everybody wants to be a blur. But then we're defining what, blurting this means so hard. You know what I mean? It's just we have to, you know, stay. Speak your piece. Do I always have fun and what you're doing you're doing don't stuff, so don't get caught. I'm
spk_0:
08:38
trying my best not to know
spk_1:
08:43
So it's something I want to just be like I can shut it down i e your mother being a I have to remember I have a brand and I got patio But I will say that my face is dressed up
spk_0:
09:04
And that's what I'm waiting for Because everyone knows that knows me knows that I'm pushing for the proliferation of minorities within mainstream media. Right? Right. There's been I've been making strides within that rip he man, You know, I've gone to the San Diego comic con and spoken to Mattel has spoken to, you know, uh, uh, legendary pictures. Thank you. And I got I got really good responses that San Diego to the point where they say we need you to meet these people at power Khan and I didn't know. I knew a par con was at that time. But earlier this year I did not know Alarcon is the key man is she was specific convention in Anaheim, California You get there, it's in this. It's a thing. It's in the hotel. That's right next to Disney. Like it's across the street from Disney World and Disneyland. Massive. Right? I walk into the hotel, and since I had the size that I am, people thought I was a m m a fighter because there was a man made to 20 or something like that was happening there. And I was taking pictures with random people thinking that I was a fighter and right, but I that was smiling. And then I went right upstairs with thes placards that that had all of the different versions of Heat Man and she were going up like that. And this is where I'm going. But yeah, and that's when I met. I met Kevin Smith, Mark Bernard in Tim Seeley, who is the writer of the DC Comics miniseries that starting out this month for the six parts of ministers. Where is he? Man and Masters of the Multiverse And through that experience and through conversations, I've got a tentative promise that there's going to be, Hey, man with melon, naked skin with a big Afro featured in the Six Empress of the Sixth Uh, uh, issue of that miniseries that comes on April and I'm just waiting to see if it's if it's true before I trip out, you know, it's if that happens, then that would be like the pinnacle of anything that me and my mom couldn't have ever really thinking. My mom got me into collecting action figures on DNA, actually collecting comics and such.
spk_1:
11:20
So you know how crazy
spk_0:
11:32
that happened this morning. And it still took me aback like this happening
spk_1:
11:39
where Mr Holt has now been made in this costume, showing here into an action figure. And so it's pretty dope. We're excited.
spk_0:
11:53
Yeah, it's expensive. It's like Doo doo told me it will cost me. 100 and £60 are 160 year old, so Replicators, like $172 so well. But in his in his defense, he has to make these figures on. He's on his own, and he's got to buy certain figures that cost about 40 bucks on their own. So right. So I can't. I've got I've got a 900. I've got 3 $900 statues of 14 14 inches tall of my sub zero mike radios. And now my he man. Yeah, that's not happen anywhere. You see, That's why I work for that company to way. Talk about discounts all the
spk_1:
12:39
way. Expensive when you're doing the time. Sorry. I can imagine. Yeah, way go con. It's like they wake up. No. Tonight. Two days before I want to be in. It will be. But you know what I know tonight? Like can't sleep. I can't have a child. You I found it here overnight. Shipping. But don't you have a baby? And you know, right now doesn't get to be You don't get to pick what he's called. Play it this way. You could be a massive All
spk_0:
13:18
right. Now, have a nice little forward waiting from tomorrow. That was, like 15
spk_1:
13:22
dollars. Get ready. He's a baby watch $15
spk_0:
13:27
But yeah, it's my What I've been doing with him is I've been I've got these stinkers that mark every four weeks or every month of his life, and they're different superheroes or supervillains. Whatever. So I've been taking pictures with him in his one sees that are the character. And I got, like, a T shirt or what not? And you know that That's our thing that we've been doing every month. My, his his mother did have his first Halloween with him. And, you know, she did. She was wrong. He was Bam, bam! And I understand. I understand that Bam bam was a rubble, right? Not a not a Flintstone. The type of person that I am e came up with a story to cover that, you know, that he had to go somewhere to go out. Roma decided she was gonna baby sit, you know, public without records, a single because, you know, because you know, that's a double in Toronto. What pebbles? Being who she was in the eighties, Okay, Like you made a
spk_1:
14:40
story Laugh. A baby. That's okay. That's all right. But you know
spk_0:
14:44
I'm not consulted. This is we're gonna have to come after the
spk_1:
14:47
costumes are fun and you know, is a lot. It's a lot. You know, You should wear costing. You know, people can see your face. How you online notoriety That goes along because I
spk_0:
15:04
don't I don't see the notoriety. It doesn't mean some. Okay, that's a lot. When people come to me and say, Hey, you know, I really appreciate what you've been doing or you've inspired me too, Just like this one guy attacked me in a post that he made his own skeleton costume. Just inspired off the heat man thing just the other day and you know it. It does promote that ugly cry because, you know, if your whole purpose is to make sure the people of color know that they are that they're seeing when they are different from other folks because we like the nerd stuff that we like Then you know, it's it just hits you in that one place, like, Okay, you know, I'm not doing this out here just from me. I'm doing this for other folks, right? Uh, Thea Thea, other side of it is just seeing my picture applied to things that I would not support. And that has happened, I think two or three times. Just this week alone. Yeah. One. There was a There is a sex party that was that was attached to my picture. And then my lady and I, we were just this morning or late last night, way noticed. Someone told me that our pictures were applied to a thought song That's on YouTube. You know, Amazon music and people are getting money off of that there by the single Wow, that's Yeah, well, I mean, my representation from my model agencies supposed to be handling that, too. But then also, I did take the one of the artists that was attached to that. And, you know, since he's got the copyright to the artwork that they're also using, he should be able to handle that, too.
spk_1:
16:58
Yeah, so sorry. Happy? I have only been used like a mop tender maids comma count in my past play. So you know, I don't know. You know, somebody make money off of me, but, you know, there's a whole profile out there. The one interesting things measures really wait.
spk_0:
17:18
One of the coolest things about it is when you inspire other artists. When your art inspires art, it's awesome. Like Terry Hardison that they didn't like there was there. There was a serious of other artists who did their own version of that post. And every time something like that popped up, I was I was just sitting there thinking like, man. Yes.
spk_1:
17:43
Okay, so you scared my son. So you had on a costume. So it's like a movie Greek ball in costume. And he was like, I don't know. What is it? You know, that person you've met that person before? You get so into these characters, your work is like, you just need to be in a movie offer. You need to do this. Okay? You're not agent, you
spk_0:
18:14
know. You know, the the short film normal part of happened to be just, uh the director actually asked me to audition for a couple of the rolls because I have a size and stature that is not common in most movies and because I guess a lot of actors don't really spend that much time in the gym, you know? And that's why when you do see athletic or bigger people and movies, they have limited speaking roles because they're just there for the presence, you know, Um, but since I am able to articulate my words and, you know, be able to do what I need to do. Any mode. They want me to actually be a part of these things. So I did the audition, and he was like sugar corn. And this is what we want you to do. And, you know, and Saturday I spent a good couple hours ground fighting with the main villain of this movie because, you know, we're because I I'm a former police officer. So I do have some training and Brazilian jiu jitsu. And because that's what they trained us down the flats are then and training. And, you know, that was s. So, you know, we spent a few hours, like, getting like down into it, and it took me back because I haven't ever been ground fighting in a while. You know where we were. There was a lot of broken glass.
spk_1:
19:55
Hey, it's your girl, Baroness Spree. Save yourself that trip to the market. Insta card delivers groceries and as fast as one hour. And if you're busy like me, we don't have time to go to the grocery store going and check out my link on my website and get yourself a discount code to get something for cheap talk. to you soon and good. Enjoy. What are you doing? Take care of yourself. What are your self care things? What do you do? You just told me, You know, you work a day job. You got a child. You do cosplay. You also fight. You know, you got a lot going on. What are you doing to say Okay, you like, you know, you're a big man, like candles and lay in the house.
spk_0:
20:37
Um, honestly, I haven't really doing that at all lately. I mean, there's if we're being completely honest here, there's the outside factor. Where my child is concerned is a huge stress stressor, mainly because we are going through a whole custody thing. So since I am not adept at, um, being in this position and trying Thio and managing my emotions as much as possible just so that it doesn't put me in a worse position later on, that takes so much energy. And, you know, I think Tiffany, for being you know, the backbone is having a background that she has to tell me, You know, um, tell me that I just need to chill. And there are There are moments where I do have brakes and I don't know, but those brakes are emotional brakes. Where I do just, like, just come down with it. Yes, but no. I don't have time to to sit and not do anything. I did that today. Washed a couple movies. Dolomite is my name is one of motivational. Yeah, Rudy Ray Moore. Do
spk_1:
22:00
you like me? I went through a divorce Custody, You know, drama. That's my sister. I dance till you drop s so we you know, it was a process. And, you know, you just have to learn how to dump it in the right compartments at the time. And when you first is welfare of the child is the other parents be incompetent? Most times they're not know. We just don't like each other. So once you get that,
spk_0:
22:35
I'm the plaintiff here seeking joint custody. I'm good. I'm trying. My best to be is reasonable. It's possible. But this woman here is not on this. Wait. Just
spk_1:
22:52
a baby holes. Not quite. Right. Okay. It takes about a year. Ladies will have babies. Nam, right? It takes about a year from eating it. I'm almost back together. So rational side is coming. But just be patient you've got That's all I can tell you because they issues, you
spk_0:
23:22
know, because it's it's outside of my level of understanding as to why someone can call themselves rationally responsible with *** doing things out of emotion.
spk_1:
23:42
Correct. That's why you pray on it. Hi. You're always really
spk_0:
23:47
enjoyed the judge, right?
spk_1:
23:49
Way cover and whatever you believe the universe is not in your favor. Go in there and just say so. It doesn't. What Self care. I have informations. I say every day. Regardless, if you believe in God or way Buddha, nothing. The universe has always got energy. This one of four into you never know when it's gonna happen. But if you have things like everyone I get up to see my Children are safe. Never, father, because I have to deprogram them when they get home. Okay, so you know, he's like I say, it's because your house have different rules in my house. Okay, We have the same common understanding of what you did. The child e into troubled sleep, onetime childhood, every work but everything outside for care values for child wake control with another house.
spk_0:
24:44
I I just seen is like if two parents who want to have some level of consistency, then why not maintain that on both sides?
spk_1:
24:53
I agree with you 1000% way. You know, I speak what I tell you. I just tell you that label this floor posturing and pray. You know what delivery? I don't agree. But instead of arguing with you and let the kids see me, are you even though it's a little person, you don't want that memory? I remember stuff back to I think what, like 11 months old, I scared the crap about my dad one time I remember my first book was 11 months old Washington shade in the band. So those little things kids remember And you're like I was like, what? And I remember the Elsa tell you to this day it is just crazy. So just ate your space. We are told this lost for ourselves over Holy I'm just telling you because I'm taking my way. Got you because it also cost community. We're a family of dysfunction, so support everybody like just doing that thing and thinking always being honest being yourself, remember? Well, because it's very hard to find You have a level of authenticity that goes with everything.
spk_0:
26:07
Thank you. I appreciate that. Okay, I've been hit with different, giving opinions off that that very aspect. And I've been wondering if I've been really consistent on that because I am all for minorities, succeeding and being in front of the camera and being behind the camera and is being known in present, right? But, um, it's not perceived that way When the way that I carried my instagram my my social media thing, I like to take pictures with people like, People want pictures of me and I'm like, No, they're getting here. Let's do this together type deal. And that's seen as being a little nurse assistant because I have to be in the picture with everyone when you know, like, even like, you know, the 2028 days of Black Husband, right? One of things that I do is that I I create a video the very first day of me and everyone that I've met throughout the year and tag them just so that everyone can see who these people are and all this other stuff, and that is being perceived as Oh, whoa. Why did you have to be in the photos? Why? Why are you doing well? Because I like being with people in pictures. Yes. No, no, no, no, no. Posting them. Yes, I'm not allowed to do that. So because this is looked at as being very narcissistic and
spk_1:
27:42
its Children hear word of my cast really is like, you know, this people, You just do what you do. It makes you happy. Do it Makes you happy. Like, if that is who you are, do what makes you happy. Who starts you out all day? All day? You got that president work this home that stresses you out. You tell you right now you love you're making right now and I think he's stretching. So it's just part of she. You know your trust. You Well, don't look at me like that, but you know it just pick you. I just paid my bail because I paid attention to everybody, wrote a crazy rebuke myself. Like, right now you have this level of you want to be inclusive. Just come from a place all intensity. You can't let people don't know. Judge. They don't know where you're coming from. They just say, Oh, that guy, he got only following. He always Maki he wanted be with mine, so they don't really understand. I have to stay, and I'm giving you a run down. Just let people hate. Hey, hey. Is hates publicity too. I guess it is. Hate stopping you from you.
spk_0:
28:58
No, no, no. This is it. People say that I have this level clout within a constant community that I could get people blackballed. I'm like, really e apparently, can I am? I am. I have been known and called a tyrant. And I'm like, Man, that is hilarious because I'm still living paycheck to paycheck.
spk_1:
29:22
You have to do keep doing what makes you happy with people who support you and screwing way. I mean, I've had people tell me all your poor caster. Well, tell me what did you better and I will fix it next. Bobcats if it's worth my time. But in the meantime, it doesn't stop me from the pitches that I'm getting from the opportunities that I'm getting from the the affiliates That won't work with me, you know, like you know, it's like, you know, just so many people like for what you're doing. There's thousands of broadcasters at all levels. You invest time. And what makes you happy? You're trying to be inclusive, but people don't understand your digit. You have a vision that you haven't shared it. You don't have to share with anybody what you're doing to your already. I mean, they do a panel. That's your bathroom home you want. You know, you can go to any mention you wantto You kind of do this. You know, like, you know, my core about my past steps to awesome. I guess.

I mean, e I just don't know at this point, it since I do have the baby boy. If it's not really gonna bring me any kind of money anytime soon on a quickness, then I can't really be too focused on
spk_1:
30:59
it. No, you can't. I work a day job 14 hour days, sometimes 18 days, and I come home and every foolishness you be shocked. Some emails in my mailbox about some topics. And, um, you like what you going up? But like this, I like let me a nice person. But people get but her, and there is nothing you can do to control her? Nothing. Because if you got more pictures or God, I didn't get that. Get that supposed be weird in the corner to be you get, like, all kinds of all kinds of golden Oh, my, I'm sorry. I got all upset. You know, in the costly community, we have different levels of ability, social ability, and it's a place that we all are inclusive.
spk_0:
32:01
No. Would you say that you're given? You're giving people a pass to be introverted, But yet you also giving them enough an opportunity and ability to talk all the crap Day talk because you're getting the opportunities that were
spk_1:
32:17
right night that everyone is an introvert. Not everyone's an extrovert. Not everyone is cute. Not everyone is ugly, you know. It's just that's life. So we have people who I've met people like Oh, my goodness. Thank you so much for talking to me because I didn't know people say, Hey, how are you having fun? Thank you so much for talking to me. I wanted to speak to you, but I was scared, and they don't and I'm like how he's going to be like, I'm not scared now, but way have a perception that instagram famous Israel fame. It's not and, you know you have people with these events that are like, Oh, I want to talk to you. Take a picture with me, come party with me and my kids Let's get pizza And you know it's just isn't way Have to make meet people where we are. We have people all over the place of comfort. It's nothing you've done wrong. It's just people don't communicate. And instead of saying, Oh, you know, I really like to be true So I won't hang out with him. I want him to be my right If she were gonna be there, man, we talked about. I have reasons for being mean to each other. And so I'm not a therapist every two weeks to told me with wrong with me. People need to pay that therapists and found one every two weeks what was wrong with them? You can't diagnose the world. You just got to navigate your little circle of awesomeness. I call it my circle for excellence. I hate people around me that tell me the truth, like you doing too much, and when I tell him how much I say Why? Because my braid is extra
spk_0:
33:52
money. Yes, TJ.
spk_1:
33:54
Yes. Oh, yeah. That Brady is extra. So we spring aspirin. Google it wherever I go, it's not on purpose. And you and I have people who work here. She comes again. She had she happily Because I pray for half an hour before I got here. Afraid all the way here. Drink sold t how much he makes me happy. And when I get home, I know that there's a bottle way B So, you know, we have to find a little bit happy. So happy.
spk_0:
34:24
Yeah, it's mentally It has been that place for me to go to when I am feeling super stressed out when I'm figuring out how to make something work, real life being yet And that's where I I zone out like Okay, well, I put this together. We couldn't do that. Talk to this person who might be able to help me out here. Then all of a sudden, all of that stress that I had with something I was thinking about before does go away
spk_1:
34:50
circle of happened Keep circling happy and, you know, stuff happens. Life happens every day and me, we just gotta keep a little bit of happy. Despite the circumstances, which is my brain, that's what it is is being. This is a sophisticate, wretched destinations to self care and being a family. Is this weight off life's effort? So you know, unless you know it's I'm sorry that your people in this things are you know, these things, that people are being this way. But that's how you gotta start. You've got a fan of your your own fans. So you know how, like people are fans of things, people are fans of you. So then you have the people who hate game of Thrones. So people either love Afro.
spk_0:
35:42
It's just funny that that's the only one of them focusing on that. I've been like a least 17.
spk_1:
35:47
This is the most visible, every every show. I go to this so I don't I'm scared being I'm scared to be sailing with braids now because I'm scared. They're still raising that. She you know she's sexy. Storm you, You were store mon sailor store things off and you know, But you know, as a cause you play, you do a lot of cosplayers you do a lot of fun things. Do you find that you have hate in See? She doesn't know she doesn't today. So sometimes you circling like I'm not paying no attention because it's not bringing me. And you know, somebody brings it to you. Handle it just the way you did know. Hey, listen, this is what we're doing is my focus. This is where you this is where I left you. Did I first heard it. So you know, But, you know, in addition to that, like so, what else you got going on with going on? Other than
spk_0:
36:55
no to Piggy back after this after him? Anything in eight on April 4th photo of your comic con. Right? Right. We've got 66 67 cosplayers that decided to join in and do do their own specific character. There's no doubles, and people are doing versions that you can point to immediately know that character. So it can either be the original motor, Siri's or the
spk_1:
37:24
motor is masters of the universe for people who know
spk_0:
37:29
that. And then you get that she were a princess of power, that you got the current next version. Princesses of power and then get the 2000 humane, where all in also satchel collectibles is being looked at as well as faras versions. Gender. Ben's doing agenda Been Bo way. I just got word that we having many faces, just like you know, when you start thinking about mass in the universe and how difficult a real life cosplay would be of some of those characters in this week.
spk_1:
38:03
Many faces so hard
spk_0:
38:05
between that one way have a Strat o sweet. We have essentially the entire gamut, you know,
spk_1:
38:10
that still have some of my masters of the universe toys, and this is gonna be so
spk_0:
38:16
It's going before you weigh 67 of us. The plan is to the biggest plan between Eric Moran and myself, who is running the villains and I'm running the heroes. But he's also the costly director of Philadelphia comic con His His vision is to get as much exposure to all the cosplayers who are part of this, and they're trying to build something forward. I mean, he's always that type of person to to pay it forward, where he'll invite certain cosplayers to his house to get their pictures of their consulate is taken by maybe five or six photographers for free. And and And that's how you get you get different looks. And then when the pictures come in January, February, you put them out there and you have content for people to see what
spk_1:
39:10
your people your picture you start your instagram for. For
spk_0:
39:18
that's a lot of people for Abel 2020.
spk_1:
39:24
You know, I didn't realize so one thing. I didn't know that there were so many freaking, you know? I don't know. Maybe about 20 nationwide. And I wanted to There's thousands and 40 people. I can't you be like, Oh, that's the same costume she handled last. Yeah, this costume cost $200 with Thio falls apart
spk_0:
39:50
that all the different things that I brought together, my subzero was 1000
spk_1:
39:54
Exactly right there. Wait. You know, every time you notice the whole purple wig is in my right. Now what's gonna happen? You know, every time you go to stores like right now have a 50 50% off every colleague that I know what it would be this year, and I need blue wings are bullies.
spk_0:
40:17
I got approached about Maui comic con e was hoping that something of that way just wantedto bring ourselves to your attention. I'm like, Oh, that's nice. No
spk_1:
40:34
way. I'm excited.
spk_0:
40:41
One that is one has there has been one comic con that has been talking to me and various times say, Hey, I'm going to try and get my husband to pay for you. Come out here. Barbados. Yes. No, he's the president of convention. So apparently they gotten kitty parts and say on K bear out
spk_1:
41:05
way. I really wish that you hope for the best you have. Thank you. First off for agreeing to do this today, but this is like a like a Facebook GM. You wanna go sketchy, but thank you for coming out.
spk_0:
41:38
I know you do. That's where I first knew of your work. Anything bad? It's coming. I could tell that disclaimer disclaimer. I thought you might like me now, but just wait and see something I'm gonna say You're like,
spk_1:
42:05
Well, thank you, Tim. I love your life is a hit show. He don't like me is a nerve. Even though he's, you know, still finding his nerd. I'm gonna get him to go one on one occasion. You guys told me Start money. No way I could get him to act out. You gotta really bring it out. You know this, You know, thank you for, you know, sharing this journey because a lot of cosplayers look up to you even though you don't realize it. There's a lot of young, socially awkward men boys, their first interaction sometimes what? The girl is in a car. There's a lot of guys that the first time they get to be seen as they are and then a con. So when you get these people online in all their socially off for this and all of their, you know, some of the older someone younger But it's a lot of babies out here. They get these officially he was awesome. Feeling over. You're like, OK, so what happened? I don't know. I was near him and it changed my life. You gave them some as you run out on them. And you know that girl I just met Afro He man, you will be My girlfriend is 11 ball. You have changed a lot of his last. Just keep it in mind. Wait. You know what? I don't want to put an extra layer of stress upon you. But the young news look,
spk_0:
43:43
I acknowledge that there are people who need tangible figures in their life.
spk_1:
43:49
That's cold. I'm sorry. I just blew up. Thanks for staying
spk_0:
43:57
still. Yeah, I know that there are people who need tangible figures in their life, too, to know that they are seeking to notice, You know, that they're not weird. Me and all those purposes. I am very, very approachable. I just I just don't really accept a lot of my craft because
spk_1:
44:17
But also, don't help me with my captain. My character is me today. I mean, I was like, I think
spk_0:
44:25
the only thing that's annoying about when people want to talk to you is when you're eating picture,
spk_1:
44:32
take my things out, OK? Drooling with myself. I'm going to the bathroom service. This outfit has 31 straps between lasers. Got zippers? Can you any three people to help leave me back into the costume. So I come out the bathroom, so Yeah,
spk_0:
44:53
I know I'm not the most approachable in the morning. What? I'm doing this. I've gone through a dehydration process because it's like the whole body build a trick of about developed seekers. You basically you drink three gallons of water a day for four days straight, and then you drive it down to one gallon on that four on the fifth day and you've been in the day of the show or the convention. You sit for my 2020 ounce bottle of water and you're going, That's your peak. So you have trick your body into thinking that you are dehydrated and therefore the skin substance was close to your body as possible so they could get as much moisture. That
spk_1:
45:35
thing way.
spk_0:
45:49
Get these things done in a day. You start
spk_1:
45:53
a family, you're used to get the water. They come out the arm yet
spk_0:
46:01
you drink the walking dead, the first down between six and eight. Him good. Whose face and second down from 8 to 12 years. Right. You can take the rest of the day to finish off. That last challenge is always a good bet Before six of 6 p.m. You will be getting up in the booth. Didn't 30? Yeah,
spk_1:
46:34
e I am up for the challenge. That's the sound I could do. I had you know, three gallons.
spk_0:
46:44
That's what happened. I kind of guessed that. And I wish I did. Because I know that look a lot better If I do that, that's where the water trick does. That's what you
spk_1:
46:54
do in the
spk_0:
46:54
movies. They drink a lot of water
spk_1:
46:56
way doing this. You're not working out. Drink. And I want you to know Oh, no. Good job that we're about to do, Collins and try to keep it down Learning from you. You know, when everybody's workout regimens and I'm like this some bullshit, I think a lot of work. You're doing that Trading your body. Todo drink 100. I'm 16 years. 16. Right now I
spk_0:
47:51
fluctuate, like at that weight. I was 210. Okay, but right now to 35.
spk_1:
47:58
Okay, that's right. Wait you But yes, I know this is Don't Thank you so much for your time anyway. Thank you for coming. Please. Please, please just, you know, keep me posted. Not share. Like whatever. You know, cross posted is really like you believe I tried to do you?
spk_0:
48:33
Yeah, I Yeah. I mean, the only thing that really tried to pin it is what as far as I'm a Facebook page, I try to give many people as possible interested in cosplay. That's why share like a lot of the family. Consuelo goes the understand one that I shared not too long ago. And there's a Catwoman won that
spk_1:
48:51
way. I don't see Oh, right
spk_0:
49:04
face. But this was like the intros, like, you know, I think I could do this.
spk_1:
49:08
Do you have a website where people
spk_0:
49:10
other than Instagram and Facebook is all under health? Respond just passed away. I have not done anything as far as my LLC because I don't have any clients. But I am trying to do the whole consulting thing. I own a home on the business you gotta do. What are the folks waiting? That taxi's coming soon. One way we could write some stuff. All
